Measuring Your Successes…

I’d like to start out by saying Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely mommies out there. I am so grateful to have so many powerful and strong moms to look up to. I am who I am today because of these women. Thank you!

WEIGH-IN

I went to my weigh-in yesterday and after a week of counting my points and staying within my limit as well as hitting the gym regularly with strenuous workouts, I lost 0.4 this week. Within the last 2 weeks, I’ve lost one pound.

I did feel a little discouraged yesterday because I don’t want to be at a plateau. I know I’ve been working really hard and I wanted the number on the scale to prove it. The women in my meeting said not to be discouraged as the numbers may  come up next weigh-in.

My mom told me that I should take my measurements to compare from the last time. I know I mentioned that I would post them on Thursdays post, but I completely forgot to take them on Thursday. Unfortunately I didn’t take my measurements in December to compare, I only have them for March and on. Dave took my current measurements this morning. I’d also like to mention that he takes my measurements in centimeters as opposed to inches. Here they are:

BUST

  • March 11, 2013:  102.5 CM
  • April 12, 2013: 100 CM
  • May 12, 2013: 99 CM

WAIST

  • March 11, 2013: 101.5 CM
  • April 12, 2013: 98 CM
  • May 12, 2013: 92.5 CM

HIPS

  • March 11, 2013: 111.5 CM
  • April 12, 2013: 110 CM
  • May 12, 2013: 108 CM

THIGH (RIGHT)

  • March 11, 2013: 65 CM
  • April 12, 2013: 64.5 CM
  • May 12, 2013: 64 CM

ARM (RIGHT)

  • March 11, 2013: 33.5 CM
  • April 12, 2013: 33 CM
  • May 12, 2013: 31.5 CM

So there you have it folks, the scale might not be moving too quickly but the measurements are certainly getting smaller. I suppose the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and going to the gym are paying off.

Every ounce counts and so do our measurements. Try to take monthly measurements and compare, because the numbers might surprise you. I was pleasantly surprised today!

I took the day off  from the gym today to read and get some meal prep ready for the week, therefore I am going to do my 30 Day Shred DVD tonight. I will also be attempting to make overnight oats with chia seeds. I am not sure how that will turn out but I will report on that in tomorrows post with some pictures. Wish me luck!
